![]() Then I launched Torchlight II and clicked on the button to play my modded game. When I logged back in Steam asked me to verify my email address. I logged out of the game and out of Steam about 30 minutes ago. Originally posted by HiFive:I've been playing mods for some months now, and I've been playing with one over the past few hours. Replace the "UserName" by your own username ![]() The mod folder should be somewhere around this location :Ĭ:\Users\"UserName"\Documents\My Games\Runic Games\Torchlight 2\mods But you really need to delete the mod folder, like going there and pressing Delete. Like Torchmodders said, the goal of deleting the mod folder is to force the game to download them again. If you unsubscribe and subscribe it doesn't do the same thing as deleting the folder, because the mods are still physically present in your hard drive disk even after you unsubscribed them so steam will not download them again and they will stay corrupted. I've subscribed to a fairly large batch of mods, and I still kind of hate to lose that one mod pack, if this is not really the problem. I see the "Unsubscribe All" button, but I don't want to do that until I'm certain it's necessary and will work. I don't know if that makes any difference.Īnyway, shouldn't that one popular mod be fixed now? Is there something special about unsubscribing all of them together? Is there some other way to delete them that I can't find? I've looked and don't see any other way to use Steam to delete them. Also, I did not mention before that when I click the OK button on the message I then get the message box for "Curses: Torchlight II has Crashed". I unsubscribed to several of them and re-subscribed to a popular one and tried to play it. Rather than unsubscribe to ALL of them, I decided to test a few. The problem is that the message gives me no clue as to which file it is having trouble with. I did a search in "discussions" and found one other person getting this message and the person replying said to follow the instructions in the message and they gave information for where to find the files on Windows 10. I can't remember in what context I got the message back then or what I did to fix it. Every one of them gives me the same message when I click the button for playing a modded game. I've also tried taking my current mod off the list and selecting other mods. I have a ton of characters on this mod and other mods, so I'm hoping not to lose them all, although I've started from scratch many times before over the years, and I can live with having to do so again. I'm hoping the request to verify my email doesn't have anything to do with this. You need to save the file as unicode - recommend doing it in word pad. Unable to determine file type (Best guess ASCII). ![]()
